About

Let’s face it: twenty nine is practically middle age. Here, in October 2014, I find myself on the cusp of thirty, considering how it is that I became a minority in the first place. Not only that, but a minority three times over: gay, Christian and disabled is not a combination I was ever aspiring to, yet here I am all the same.

This blog begins as a place where I can unfold some of the thoughts and experiences which have necessarily been taboo in my life in the past three decades. I’m an external processor – I don’t know what I think about a topic until I have expressed my thoughts on it in some way – so I won’t just be sharing; it’s likely that I’ll also be ‘discovering’ some opinions and forgotten experiences as part of this process.

Although I’ve reached the point of wanting to write down some of my experiences, I’m not yet convinced that publicly tying these experiences to my real-life identity is wise. If we strike up a conversation, I will naturally consider dropping the anonymity, but until then please know that all names have been changed, to protect the innocent.

Please feel free to comment! I really welcome constructive comments, whether positive or negative; lets talk!
